And Away we go!

Here's my big entry into the world of blogging to lose weight.  I've blogged before and somehow always forget to blog about interesting things...so my blogs get boring and then I don't even want to read them.

I've been totally creeping on other people's weight loss blogs and thought that it might just be time for me to enter this new world.

My husband and I are both trying to lose weight - he has way less to lose than me, and I need just a little more accountability than he needs.  Ive become aware recently that my dependance on food is eclipsing my dependance on my Savior. I'm using this platform to document my thoughts on that as well as my accountability platform.

Since answering these questionnaires is just so convenient, I'm taking that easy street and making this my first post!

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules. If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section here at: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers. Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!
Personal Quirks and Habits

1. Share one unique character trait that sets you apart from your friends.
I pick up on others feelings more quickly than the average person.

2. List at least two pet peeves that always aggravate you.
 texting and driving
not responding to RSVPs

3. Is there a word or phrase that you say so regularly that people expect to hear it from you?
 WHAT?!?

4. Are you a risk taker, or do you typically play it safe?
nope. I play it safe!

5. Describe your life as it was in high school. Are you the same person? Have you changed?
I was a snotty high schooler who didn't truly understand what it meant to be a Christian. Since then I've matured quite  a bit (as I should sine it's been almost 20 years!).  I have the same personality, but I've learned to curb the more sarcastic parts of myself!
6. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done that you’re glad you did?
It was totally crazy town to move to Alaska, and I'm so glad I did. Met the man of my dreams and I've been here for 15 years already!

7. Do you ever talk to yourself? If so, share an example.
Yes, I talk to myself when I'm thinking of the things I need to get done. Somehow I think if I say it aloud I'll remember it better.  When I hear myself talking, I start to make a list because I know that if I don't, it's just not going to happen.

8. Share something you did that unexpectedly helped shape your life.
Going to church at First Assembly shaped who I am today - I met friends that have helped me to become a better person, and I can't imagine life without them.

9. Do you follow a strict routine, or are you a free spirit? Are you somewhere in between?
I like routine, but I'm learning to go with the flow too.  I have a foster son who needs routine so I try to stick to the same same every day for him. I have a tendency to get a little weird about my own routine and I'm learning that sometimes it's okay to have flexibility with my stuff.

10. Share something about yourself that you hope will inspire others.
Inspire others? That's a huge order. I'm not sure this is inspiring, but I know that when I'm going through gross parts of life,  I willlook back and see the hand of God leading me through every dark tunnel I go through.
